You!: Your Event at the SL Globe Theatre

The SL Globe Theatre venue is available for your events. The Globe Theatre is available for free for public events of all kinds. If you’d like to hold public events at the Globe Theatre, please email production@SLshakespeare.com with the word EVENT in your subject line. Describe your event a bit, and tell us the time (SLT or GMT-8) and date–and any special accommodations you may need. Please give at least 72 hours’ notice.

SL Globe Theatre, sLiterary is a virtual reconstruction of the Original Globe Theatre that historians conjecture stood in Shakespeare’s days. It is meticulously adapted as a functioning theatre in the massively multiuser virtual world of Second Life. The SL Globe Theatre is the most historically accurate rendition of the Globe Theatre on the Internet. Its SL rendition is set in the confluence of 4 island simulators — thus allowing for the maximal number of local audience members. http://visit.SLshakespeare.com

Please note the SL Shakespeare Company performance schedules will take precedence over non-SL Shakespeare Company events.

Public Events:

Anything from karaoke to lecturing while standing on one finger - as long as it’s a public event, where all are welcome to attend, it’s an event we’ll welcome for free at the Globe Theatre. So, if you have that crazy idea and want to give it a test - this just may be your ground! More traditional event ideas are also welcome. Any event open to the public is good to go.

Private Events:

Thinking of holding an exclusive reunion with a bunch of friends, a private wedding, or a company meeting? The SL Globe Theatre is also available for your private events, where access to the four sims at the Globe will be limited to either a group or a list of VIP. Rental per hour is L$1000. Rental for an entire day (24 hours) is L$10,000. Subject to availability, at least 72 hours notice is required rental@SLshakespeare.com
The SL Shakespeare Company also offers private performances for a nominal fee (http://twelfthnight.slshakespeare.com/blog/about/slsc-private-performance-pricing/). Please note, theatre rental does not include a performance by the SL Shakespeare Company. However, some performance packages do come bundled with theatre rental.
