SLSC – Academy of Performing Arts’ Upcoming Courses
Contact: Enniv Zarf – RL Paul Kwo
SL Shakespeare is proud to continue our academy of Performing Arts in 2008. Taught by working Real Life actors who are also involved in the world of theatre and performing inside Second Life, our classes aim to teach students the acting skills applicable in both Second Life and Real Life. We are interested in aiding individuals with a passion for the theatrical arts to become high quality performers who can compete with their Real Life peers. Second Life is not second rate, and we believe quality begins with proper training.
SLSC Academy of Performing Arts was created by Enniv Zarf with the SL Shakespeare Company. Enniv Zarf was the voice director of both Mini Productions of Hamlet and Twelfth Nighte as well as a solo freestyle improv pianist. He is also currently as an working actor in Los Angeles. He has worked as a principal actor/voice-over talent in commercials for MacDonalds, Verizon, Wal-Mart, Honda, PG&E, Hyundai, Washington Mutual and others. He has appeared as a principal actor on NBC’s Scrubs and Knight Rider and as a voice actor in the 2008 blockbuster Mummy 3: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor plus many more. He has been a recurring guest host as a movie critic on AM1430 in Los Angeles. He is currently a teacher at Active Actors Inc. (http://activeactorsinc.org) in Los Angeles. He also has a Bachelor of Music from the University of Southern California in Piano Performance with minors in both theatre and musical theatre and a Master of Music there in Music Composition.

SLSC-APA Policy
1) There are no refunds.
2) Missed classes by students will not be made up. However if it’s an extreme case such as serious medical emergency of the student, depending on the availability, a student may be allowed to sit in a different class.
3) Because our teachers are working real life professionals, there will be times where classes needs to be moved. All such changes will be made so that all students will be accommodated.
4) Students are required to do their homework and be properly prepared for each class.
5) All students will need to have SL Voice in working order. Students will have to acquire their own microphones and headphones/earphones for the class. We also require students to download a suitable computer recording programs. Audacity is free and available for both PC’s and Macs. Recording will be used as a studytool for any of the performance classes. It is highly recommended that all students get a seperate microphone and headphone rather then a headset. It is also highly recommended that the microphone be a condenser microphone. For some of the advanced classes this is a requirment.
