Auditions for SL Shakespeare Company’s core Shakespeare repertoire occur in the spring and summer. Actors must commit a portion of their summer to the summer Shakespearean “tag-team” costumed staged reading series to both familiarize themselves with the lines and characters and the SL voice, audience, and inventory medium. The full ensemble shows begin the autumn after the summer staged readings.

Auditions for SLSC Challenge Productions are held intermittently throughout the year, per each production director’s schedule. Challenge Productions are typically non-Shakespearean works, either modern plays, original plays, or other Classical plays.
