Call for Silent Actors!

The Metaverse Shakespeare Company is seeking silent actors (actors with non-speaking roles) to perform in its upcoming open-ended production of Twelfth Night: Act 2. The show opens on March 2, and runs every Sundays at 1 PM SLT, and Tuesdays at 6 PM SLT at the SL Globe Theatre.

Silent actor benefits include:

  • experience and credit in a professional theatrical production,
  • avatar skin, eyes, clothing, and props, and
  • a small stipend.

Interested actors should be able to commit to at least one (if not both) show dates each week, indefinitely until May. There is a mandatory rehearsal at 11 am SLT on Saturday, Feb 27th at the LM above.

I can play man, woman or dog if you like. My first time at SL play. Last time on stage was 30 ys ago as a student (the play we wrote still plays at that school). I hope I qualify.

Just a reminder that we will be having a silent actor’s rehearsal 11
am on Saturday the 27th. We will always be using SL Time - which is
currently PDT. Silent actors (”extras”) will be needed for musicians
in Act 2, Scene 4 - Orsino’s Court. Call time is half an hour after
the show starts (6:30 PM on Tuesday, and 1:30 PM on Sundays).

Silent actors should be ready and on sit cube attached to the balcony
level before the Scene starts. Music will attach lute and play when
the Duke gives the order to play “Give me some musick!” until Feste’s
entrance. Musicians will exit (hop off stand cube, walk towards
curtain of balcony) when the Duke gives the order, “Let all the rest

Despite being musician extra’s, you needn’t actually worry about

One of you will be “piping” the tune through your SL voice each show
(depending on sound configuration), but we’d probably rotate, so it is
optimal that all of you know how to pipe, if needed!
